We booked Happy Hour based on the reviews on this website and the videos we'd seen. Obviously when you've not seen and heard a band perform first hand it's a bit of a risk but we decided that all these people couldn't be wrong. They weren't. Happy Hour were outstanding.

They performed one of their acoustic sets for us in the garden whilst the guests were chilling out after dinner, then later, when the time came they absolutely rocked the place!

It must have been a long day for the lads coming over from London to our wedding in Devon but it didn't show, the energy they brought to the room was just awesome. So many people commented on how good they were. The guys filmed their latest 'Meet Happy Hour' video at our wedding so just take a look at that and you can see how much people are enjoying the music, and it wasn't just like that for one or two songs either. From the moment they started playing the dance floor was absolutely jam packed, every song is a floor filler and everyone is performed brilliantly.

If we did it all again we'd book happy hour. We highly recommend them.

"It is always a risk finding the right band for an event like a wedding. I really wanted one that would create a lively and happy atmosphere, and Happy Hour certainly gave us that. All our guests loved the music and I was even surprised that all the grandparents were up on the dancefloor!

From start to finish things were excellent - we received quick confirmation from the manager regarding the date and time, written confirmation regarding the deposit paid, and then prior to the wedding, we were contacted by the band themselves to discuss the song selection and first dance.

Happy Hour looked smart, were enthusiastic and played fantastically. Several guests took their details for upcoming events and I wouldnt hesitate to book them again.

"We had a brilliant experience with Alive Network. Our Alive Co-ordinator kept in contact with us to put our mind at ease that this was a reliable internet booking service. Nearer the occasion Happy Hour contacted us requesting information that would help the evening run smoothly which we thought was a great idea and took away the worry on the day.

When booking Happy Hour we’d been impressed with their set list and we were specific with the songs we wanted to hear on the night. We strongly recommend taking up the offer of an afternoon acoustic session as this was well recieved during our wedding reception ensuring there was no lull in our proceedings.

As a four piece the sound that they create is full and rich and their playlist is impressive with songs to suit all tastes through the decades.

The rock and roll set really had our wedding guests partying up until the last song, and band guest interaction was superb!

Before the big day communication via their agents at Alive Network was well organised and concise. We had specific requests for songs for the band to pay during their set and for their DJ Set afterwards (which we recommend) which they played without question.

The band arrived with plenty of time to set up and get organised, were extremely approachable, friendly and polite and were openly suggesting ways to make the evening flow better in terms of what to play and when. But it is once they start paying that the fun really begins!

Each song was delivered with as much enthusiasm as the last. Their vast repertoire going from the 50’s up to todays tosh in the Hit Parade making sure every guest at the party felt compelled at some stage to throw some shapes on the dance floor!

They even invited the groom up to play a tune with them which he is still smiling about!

"When we were choosing a wedding band for our special day we listened to literally hours of samples and read many, many playlists but could not find that anyone who felt right. The playlists were too twee, too narrow or just plain hideous. The samples we listened too also did not contain that certain something, that pizzazz that would make our day and in the worst cases perhaps the bands had chosen the wrong career. That all changed when we heard Happy Hour. We knew right away that this was the special band that could add to the magic of our wedding day and Happy Hour didn’t let us down.

Happy Hour have an aura about them that dispels them from sounding like any of the more traditional wedding bands who play the same old dull tunes. They were really friendly and approachable in discussing the playlist, willing to learn some new songs that we really wanted played, which gave us a feeling of inclusion and made us feel like our wedding was the greatest of all, putting all the previous high profile weddings to shame. Its personal touches like this that can really distinguish a band you think were okay and wouldn’t think about again to a band you would be happy to recommend in the future. Keep this up!

Happy Hour even went the extra mile to make sure the occasional was extra special. Let me explain how they did this; I wanted to give a special gift to the father of the bride for saying “yes” when I asked if I could marry his daughter. Purely by chance I heard a song on the radio that I thought would be great if it was played during the traditional brides dance with her father. The song was “Stealing Cinderella” by Chuck Wicks and I suddenly thought that it would be an excellent gift if I performed it live for them.

I discussed this with Richie from the band who thought this was a great idea and promptly set up rehearsals so that the lads were prepared. Alas, the band lives in the south and I am in the top end of Northumberland so rehearsals including me were not going to happen. Using Richies excellent idea of harnessing the power of YouTube to make sure both myself and the band were singing from the same songsheet, I would perform with the band for the first time live on the night. This must be daunting for a professional singer, never mind a pure amateur! Happy Hour were consummate professionals though and on the night the song went very smoothly, the band working to my singing cues to make both the bride and her dad very happy (and emotional) indeed. And after listening to testimonials from the guests, the band even managed to make me sound good. Well done lads as this clearly was an awesome feat!

On our perfect day, Happy Hour were the perfect compliment.They performed songs that we wanted to hear and really ensured that everyone enjoyed themselves. Thank you for being part of our day.

Sorry for taking so long to write but we have just got back from holidays.

I wanted to write to say a big big big thank you for the 28th June. You were really fantastic. I admit that booking a band was the hardest and scariest thing about the whole wedding organisation as it is so important to the whole evening - and I was really worried about booking a band from the internet with so little to go on. Honestly, you were perfect, I mean I can dance all night but so could everyone else which was great!

Apart from the music being great I also have to say thank you for your flexibility. The timings were totally messed up and you were so flexible, playing for 2 hours straight was amazing and we really appreciated it. Apart from anything else, everyone was exhausted when you finished which meant there was no problem when they all had to leave at 12. Also re the noise limiter - I have no idea how this works but we did not notice anything so definitely no problem.

If you need a reference for future bookings, I am happy to help, definitely no complaints and lots of positive things to say.

I thought you would like some feedback on Happy Hour who played for our Sixth Form Ball on Friday night. Ive been running the Ball for eight years now so have seen rather a lot of cover bands. They were absolutely brilliant. The music was very suitable and it was hard to get a place on the dance floor. Some of the students danced for the whole time!! The students thought they were really great...they even let our Headmaster sing....he and his wife used to play in a band!!
